Welcome home little Adalyn!

I thought it would be fun to share Adalyn's birth story. As many of you know this was a very hard pregnancy which consisted of bedrest to modified bedrest the whole entire time. I had about 45 ultrasounds. We were told over and over again that this was a 50/50 chance. We did our best to stay positive but sometimes I broke down. Thankfully our families were there for us through all of this.
A couple of weeks later it went to a 60/40 chance which made me a little happier but it was still so scary. When we got past 24 weeks they told me to expect a preemie baby so that is what we were preparing for.
At 35 weeks I started showing signs of developing preeclampsia. My doctor decided that I should get induced around 37 + 4 weeks unless things got worse.
Well on April 11th I was not feeling really good. I just wanted to lay around but I could not sleep and had some cramping. On April 12th at 6:30AM my water broke. I was nervous because I just hit the 37 week mark that day and that would mean she was going to be 3 weeks early which made me a little nervous. We got to the hospital and they had to start pitocin and told us that we would see her within 24 hours. I got to 4 centimeters and got the epidural which only worked on one side.. yup I was in a lot of pain. They kept saying that my heart would drop really low so they had to turn down the epidural and give me oxygen. so I felt everything. I also got a small fever which caused Addie to get one as well which scared me. I had to push for 3 hours and she finally arrived at 7:40pm weighing 6 pounds 1 ounce and she was 19 1/2"

She is so healthy and we feel so blessed. The doctor than delivered the placenta. She couldn't believe what it looked like. She showed me what it should look like and she showed me mine and it looked horrible with tons of scarring and weird coloring. She told me 3 times that this really is a miracle baby. They sent the placenta over to pathology so that they could look more into it and test it. We are so thankful for the faith and the prayers from everyone who prayed for us. It was a long road but it was so worth it and I would do it all over again. We could not feel more blessed that she is here after everything. Our prayers were answered.

And now for a pic overload! (Sorry couldn't help myself!)
