Christmas time!

Oh boy! Christmas was sooo much fun this year. It is sooo fun having a little one to celebrate with. This time last year was a fun Christmas but a little overwhelming. It was hard to celebrate because I was stuck on bedrest and I had one more week to go until the baby reached 24 weeks. (Viability.. that the baby has a chance to survive if made past that week).

It was this little mans 4th birthday. He is getting so big! I swear they grow up too fast. When he comes over on Fridays Adalyn just wants to be by him constantly. She won't take her nap because she just wants to hang out with Braxton. I love it though.

My little sister turned 18.. I cannot believe she is 18 already. She was out of town with her friends and my parents so I went over to the house and decorated her car. Later that night we went to Jeff's family Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. We had yummy food and it was nice to get together with everyone. After we went back to my parent's house and had more yummy food for Brielle's birthday. My sister is my best friend. She is an amazing person inside and out. I would do anything for her.

Also something fun happened as well. Little Harper was born! She is seriously so adorable. Ryan and Emily are such great parents!

Christmas Eve was fun. Jeff didn't have to work so it was fun to spend the day with him and Addie. We just relaxed in the morning and I went and ran a couple errands while he stayed home with Adalyn. After we went to the Dockstaders and it was fun. We ate and had a good time.

Later that night we went over to my parent's to celebrate Christmas Eve and do our traditions that we have kept forever! We walked in and my mom had cute little gifts for us made. She made the girls Sugar scrubs in a jar and then she had Caramel Apples and also these cute Santa Cookie plates made!

We all had pajamas to open up and we ordered pizza, changed into our pjs and watched the movie Elf. It was so much fun.

The next day Adalyn must have known Santa came because she woke up early and was soo happy. I was so giddy I jumped out of bed and had Jeff wake up so we could open presents with her. I think she was a little overwhelmed but she loved all of her new toys.
I wanted something from Adalyn to daddy so I spent the day before Christmas Eve coming up with what I should do. I ended up with a messy house and paint everywhere but it was fun.

After we went over to my parents for breakfast. Then we headed off to Jeff's mom to open presents there and also skype with Heather. It was so nice to talk to her!

After we headed back over to my parent's and opened up presents! It was so fun to spend the day with our families.

She was a little worn out after all the fun we had on Christmas.

Addie playing with some of her new toys.

This weekend we celebrated Braxton's birthday by going to pump it up. It was so much fun. I was surprised at how much fun it was. Let's just say my brothers, dad and Jeff and some of the kid's parents had a little too much fun haha. It was so much fun to watch everyone and play on the big inflatables!

After pump it up Katie and Brendan watched Adalyn for Jeff and I so that we could go see a movie. Jeff wanted to see Ender's game but it wasn't in theatres anymore so we decided to check the $3 theater and it was there! It was kind of awesome that we only spent $6 to watch a movie. Then after we went to dog house. It was a lot of fun to spend some time with him. Katie sent me some pictures of while they were watching her. She had a lot of fun spending time with them and Taysom.

Adalyn's favorite thing to do is jump in her jumpers and she loves Daniel Tiger!

Bath time is also something fun we do every morning. She absolutely LOVES the bath. She has tons of bath toys but her favorite is her rubber ducky. I was extremely tired this day and overwhelmed with everything I needed to get done but this girl knows how to make me forget all those worried and take a break. Life goes by fast and we need to take it one day at a time and realize these are the most important parts of our life. Even though shes tiny and young.. I have learned so much from her.

This man of mine is such a great daddy. Seriously, he loves Adalyn so much and takes such great care of her. These two are my world.

Holidays

This past month has been a blast and has flown by. Adalyn is 8 months old now.. (insane). I finally have my husband back (finished the semester).

My sister got her nephews and niece together to take some pictures with them. Here are a couple I loved. She is such a good aunt.

For Thanksgiving we went over to my parents house and celebrated. Katelyn's family also flew in and it was a blast. I was in charge of mashed potatoes and the green bean casserole. We ate the yummy food and the kids worked on gingerbread trains. Jeff also joined the kids in making them. We went home for awhile so Addie could take a good nap. After we all went to see the movie Frozen. It was a really cute movie. Addie kept talking at the screen so I had to take her to the bottom a couple of times.

Later that night Jeff went home with Adalyn and I went out shopping with my mom. We had lots of fun and got some good deals that night.

That next day Jeff decided we should go to the mall. We went and it we were surprised because it was not that crowded at all. They had some good deals as well.

Go check out Pigtails and Gumdrops facebook page. They made Adalyn's thanksgiving bow and the shirt!

After Thanksgiving it was time to go pick out our Christmas Tree.

After watching Hunger Games Jeff has been talking about getting a bow and arrow yet he doesn't want to buy one. We were at the store and saw some kid ones so we ended up getting a kid one. haha Let's just say hes having a little too much fun with this thing. I love that he is still a kid at heart. It makes life so much more fun.

I just had to post this picture because this was one of her little tantrums. She still doesn't crawl but she rolls around to get from place to place and I was moving her toy and she finally had enough.

This girl brightens my day everyday. Her smiles are contagious to me.

Adalyn loves her cousin Braxton. She can stare at him all day. She loves to watch the crazy things that little boy does. Braxton loves to help take care of her.

Mornings are the best. She loves taking baths in her duck tub. Her rubber duck is her favorite toy while shes bathing. She would probably sit in there all day if I let her.

Lately Adalyn wants to be rocked to sleep and I am totally okay with that. Before she wouldn't want to cuddle and I would just have to set her in her crib. Now she doesn't want me to put her down until she is almost fast asleep. I don't mind at all.

The other day my dad, Jeff, Addie and I walked down Christmas Tree Lane. It was so much fun to spend time with my dad. We had a blast. He came over first and we had grilled cheese and soup. Then I made us up some hot chocolate to take with us. Of course if you know my dad we had to stop La Boulangerie to get some bread pudding and cookies. :)

Last night my whole family met at my parents for a gingerbread house making contest! It was so much fun. My mom had Broccoli Cheese soup and Corn chowder with bread bowls waiting for us. Whoever made the best gingerbread house won a prize. Well at the end my mom couldn't decide so she had us draw a raffle and Jeff and I won. We wont a gift card to Sakanya and 2 movie tickets for a date night. :) We had so much fun.

I love the Holiday season. It is so much fun to spend time as a family. I am grateful for the family that I have.
