When Jeff and I went to the pumpkin patch last weekend we were in search for a pretty good size pumpkin. My mom came and helped us pick one out which was a big help because we would have ended up getting too big of a pumpkin haha. Well 28lbs of pumpkin and $18 this is what we used the pumpkin for. Pics to follow.
We thought it would be fun because this time last year we announced I was pregnant with a pumpkin! (As I look back on this picture I remember being really sick and just ready for these pictures to be done! haha)
Well this went from that to this and boy am I so grateful!
She hated this whole pumpkin thing. Jeff and I carved the pumpkin the night before well mainly Jeff but Addie had fun playing with the slime and the seeds. I went over to my moms house and she took the pictures of Addie. She hated that pumpkin. She was not happy in it at all. (I don't blame her) She started chewing on the pumpkin and then she started resting her head on it. It was a good laugh. We decided to give her a break and took her out and of course once she was out she was full of smiles. We went back outside to take more pictures and as soon as she saw the pumpkin she started crying.. haha she really did hate that pumpkin. Now for the pic overload.

Thinking Back
Today I went to my dad's business, where I used to work. It was great to see everyone. As I was driving home I was thinking back to this time last year.
This time last year I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I remember Jeff and I discussing if we should announce my pregnancy because of the issues we were having with all the bleeding. Jeff and I decided that we should because it was already really hard for me to keep it a secret.
We decided to announce it and we were glad we did because I really got the support that I needed during those difficult times. It was one of the most trying times for us but it was also very spiritual. I gained such a strong testimony and I learned that I needed to have more faith.
This time last year my doctor put me on full time bed rest. She did this when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I stopped going to work. I didn't think I would be off work the whole entire time I was pregnant. I was being really careful and getting really anxious to get back to work. I am not the type of person who can lay on a couch all day. There were dishes to clean and carpets to vacuum and tile to mop but I couldn't do it. I couldn't cook, I couldn't help Jeff with anything. I felt really helpless. Jeff was amazing and did the best he could while going to work and school at that time. My mom was amazing as well.
I tried to go back to work but it couldn't happen. I would just bleed and bleed (Sorry too much info).
I haven't been back to working since but I am so grateful for the opportunity to stay home with my little Addie girl and watch her grow. This is my job now and I LOVE it. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
It sometimes is nice thinking back and to see where we are now. I feel so lucky to have Jeff as my husband. He works so hard and he is so driven. He comes home from the longest days ever and he never complains!
I just wanted to write this because I need to be more grateful at times and hopefully on days that are hard I can look back on this and remember that the day really isn't that bad. I am grateful for the gospel and for my family. I have everything that I need. (well.. more kids of course but that will come later) :)

This picture is the first time that I went to the hospital due to bleeding. Jeff held my hand as the ultrasound tech was looking on the screen. She wasn't supposed to tell me anything until the hospital doctor came in to tell me but I think she could tell we were really nervous. She told me everything still looked okay. Little did we know that this was going to be a lonnnng 8 months.
The hospital was full that night and he wasn't supposed to sleep there so Jeff just snuck in there and our nurse said that it was okay. I really needed him there.
My tummy kept on growing.. so we celebrated with a baby shower :)
My blood pressure was rising it was up to 150/90 at times and I was extremely swollen. (Hence the pictures that show my hands). My doctor was going to induce me but she decided to come right at 37 weeks. This is a picture of my belly the night before she decided to come.

Fun Weekends
Jeff sometimes works for a few hours in the mornings on Saturdays but this Saturday he didn't. We decided to have a fun filled day after being able to sleep in. Yes, Adalyn slept in until 10AM! It was really nice. I made sure Jeff knew that this doesn't always happen haha.
Before I forget I wanted to post her 6 month stats. She is just a petite little thing! She got her shots on the 14th so it was 2 days after she turned 6 months.
Height: 24 1/2" (15%)
Weight: 14lb 6oz (18%)
Still wears 0-3 month clothes and can fit into some smaller 6 month clothes.
This time around her shots went amazing. She usually gets a fever after he shots and just sleeps and fusses all day but this time it was like she didn't even know she got shots that day. I made sure not to plan anything for that day but since she was feeling okay I went out and got some groceries because sometime during that week Katelyn and I were going to make some freezer meals.
Freezer meals are awesome especially if you are going to be having a baby soon! While I was on bedrest my mom made me like 15 freezer meals and it was sooo nice. All I had to do was put the things in the crock pot and dinner would be ready that night. It helped me out a ton and it was awesome in the beginning when Addie was a newborn.
Katelyn ended up making 8 and I made 4. I ended up making Honey Sesame Chicken, Beef and Mushroom, Chicken Brocolli Alfredo and then Chicken Cacciatore. All you have to do is get some rice or for some of these noodles to go with the meal and then maybe one other side. SUPER EASY. It was fun doing them and we made a goal to start doing them more often just for days we don't feel like cooking or something.
This girl has started the whole fun of solid food eating and boy does she love it. She LOVES avocado, carrots, sweet potatoes and bananas! She doesnt like peas too much but if I mix them with carrots or something she will eat them. We haven't tried all the foods yet but we are working on it. :) I feel like she eats more now than ever. Jeff couldn't believe how much she eats while he was home last weekend. Jeff was probably feeding her in this picture below haha..
If you know my mom you know how creative and talented she is. Seriously whenever I go over to her house shes working on a new project and always coming up with new fun things. I hope some of her creativity rubs off on me sometime. She definitely knows how to spoil her grand kids. She is an amazing mom and Memaw. Boy do I love her shes definitely my best friend! She made this gnomy doll for Adalyn and she loves it and squeals and plays with her "gnomy" all the time. She even sleeps with it. It is like one of those small blankes that have a toy at the end of it. It's soo cute!
Okay well now to get to last weekend. We slept in until 10 which was pretty amazing because that honestly NEVER happens at all. I popped some cinnamon rolls in the oven and fed Addie and we all got ready. We headed off to the Pumpkin Patch and met my mom there. It was fun. Addie was tired when we went but she still had fun. We ended up getting a huge 28lb pumpkin. (We will be posting what we will be doing with this pumpkin at a different time).
A few hours after that we decided that we wanted to go see that movie Captain Phillips so Emily was able to watch Addie for us! She is going to be such a good mom and I cannot wait until little Harper arrives. :) Go see that movie by the way it was awesome. It is nice to get away for a few hours sometimes just to get a little break even though most of the time all I am thinking about is Adalyn.
Our little girl is a talker especially if she has a toy in her hand. Man oh man she has the cutest little squeals and it melts my heart! Here is one from today. She can just sit for hours and talk and squeal.
On Sunday we went to church and it was our children's program. I love that Sacrament meeting, its so fun to watch all the little kids sing. Then later that day we were able to go visit my grandparents before my grandma had to get surgery. She was getting a fast procedure done to get a filter out that was blocking the blood clots and that surgery went fantastic yesterday.
That's about it for now. Sorry if there is spelling errors and how random this is. I always look back and think it's too much to reread and edit so I skip that part...

Where does the time go?
Seriously, I cannot believe my little girl is 6 months old! What the heck?! Where did the time go? I LOVE the fact that shes getting so big but it is still sad at the same time! Oh she has such a personality now and I absolutely LOVE it. I love having her as my sidekick everyday! Her smiles are contagious and each one warms my heart. Yes, their are hard days but those days are going to happen. She is just a ball of joy though.
I am extremely blessed to have her. She has helped me learn how to be more patient, more caring, more loving. Sometimes I get annoyed when she doesn't want to nap or if she is fussy and then I will look over at her and she has a huge smile on her face and it just melts me. Parenting is hard and their are so many emotions that come out of it but it was honestly my best decision to have children. Even after how hard that pregnancy was I still want more and more! Haha.. we will definitely wait awhile or a long while.. ;)
This semester had been really trying for me only because Jeff has the busiest schedule ever. He is gone a lot with work and school but I LOVE how driven he is. I may not really get any breaks for myself right now but he is taking care of his family and for that I am so grateful. Most days he doesn't get home until past 9pm.. (I cannot wait until this semester is OVER!) Addie just loves when he walks in the door she gets a huge smile on her face and starts kicking her legs.
She loves her auntie Brielle..
My grandma got to leave the rehab center that she had to stay at so that she could build up some strength and my oh my shes doing so much better! Prayers have really been answered and I am so grateful. She has surgery tomorrow to have the filter taken out that has been blocking the blood clots so I am praying that it goes well. While my grandma was at the rehab center we were able to take her out of her room and walk around with her outside. We would come as a family and just sit on the grass with her she said it would really brighten her spirits just be outside. I took a picture of my grandma and grandpa sitting there and below that Addie was playing on the grass. She loves being outside.
So since Addie turned 6 months old the doctor said I should start some baby food! It has been pretty fun! I didn't start her early on baby food because she is so tiny since shes been in the 5th-10th percentile and she wasn't showing signs of wanting to start. She is still a little apprehensive about it but we try anyways. She will normally only take a couple bites then be done. I decided to set up her high chair and she seriously looks way to tiny for this thing doesn't she? Oh well she loves it. She loves sitting in her bumbo too but her thighs are a little chunky for it so it's a little hard for me to get her out of it haha. Oh man I love her smiles. When she smiles he makes a whole expression with her face its so cute her little eyes squint and everything.
She can sit! Well sort of... she can sit for a few seconds and then she will wobble and fall over to the side so we are still working on it. This was a good picture I got of her the day while she was attempting to sit.
Can I just say that I am so excited! My nephew is going to be here pretty much anytime now! I wish he would come right now! Every time I get a call or text from Katie my heart skips a beat because I think shes going to tell me that little Taysom is on his way! I am so excited for Brendan and Katelyn and I cannot wait to cuddle up to that little man! We had a baby shower for Katelyn last week and it was a lot of fun! Can I just say my mom knows how to decorate? Man she is creative... if only I had that talent!
