High-risk pregnancy

I thought it would be a good idea to explain what has been going on since so many people have asked. Kind of a long story....

On August 25th Jeff and I found out out we were pregnant! We were so excited. I was literally only 4 weeks along. I think I took a million pregnancy tests. Well when I was 6 weeks pregnant Jeff and I were on a date night that ended up with me having to go to the hospital. We thought for sure that I miscarried. They did an ultrasound and the baby looked good it was so soon that they said the heartbeat should start beating in the next few days. We couldn't believe it because I always thought if you were bleeding... That it was the worst case scenario.. They did discover that I had a subchorionic bleed that was pretty big. (The baby implanted badly to where it bruised my uterus and has caused a bleed there)

I was told to take it easy. Well at 8 weeks I was in the hospital again.. I was in so much pain. We thought again that I miscarried. The baby had a heartbeat and we couldn't believe it! But a few days later I was in the hospital again.. It was so up and down. Everything was still okay but the bleed was huge and I only had a 50/50 chance of keeping the baby.

I was put on bed rest and when I went to the doctor at 14 weeks they said the bleed was gone. Of course Jeff and I were so extremely happy. I was getting tired of bed rest. The doctor told us it was okay for us to go out of town.. We were headed to Cancun a day later! Once we got to LA we were sleeping at a hotel to catch our flight early that morning.. Well here comes the bad news I ended up in the hospital there. Jeff and I decided we should drive home after I got some IV fluids so that we could be in Fresno. I stayed the night in the hospital in Fresno.. Again being told there was a 50/50 chance of losing the baby.

I got to see a high risk doctor at 17 weeks and the bleed was large at 7x6cm.. The doctor gave us a 60/40 chance this time. We found out that it is a girl!

Today I saw the doctor again.. I'll be 20 weeks on Friday. The doctor said that the bleed has shrunk and its 3x3cm and it looks like its all healing.. My cervix looks great and there are no signs of preterm labor. I'm still on bed rest and we are remaining strong through all of this. We have faith and we are reaming positive. All we can do is remain optimistic and know that this little girl is definitely a fighter through all of this. It has been a roller coaster but we have learned so much from this trial and we are continuing to learn from this.

New Chapter:)

Married life has been amazing so far! I absolutely love it.

Jeff and I have been married for 2 months and about 2 weeks

We got a kitten and named her Dr. Pepper. This picture pretty much explains how she is. She paws at everything.

We finally get a break from school for a week so that we can finally go on our Honeymoon! in 11 days we will be going on a cruise to the Bahamas and we cannot wait!

We are also excited to go see the Hunger Games Premeire with my family on Thursday.

We have been pretty busy with school and work so our apartment is not all decorated yet but it is getting there! We are still waiting for a big picture that is coming in April for our living room so I will show pictures of that later. The only thing that is completely done is our kitchen area. I will have more pictures of our apartment soon!

That is pretty much it for now.

Settling in

Well I feel like all newlyweds have a blog.. so I decided to make one!

A little about us..

Jeff and I met at Liberty Elementary school. I was in 5th grade and he was in 6th grade. We were friends and would play at recess. He had a crush on me and one day during recess he got down on his knee and asked me to be his girlfriend. I told him no.. then he ran away crying. Then on August 11th we went back to Liberty and he got down on his knee and proposed to me and asked, "Will you say yes this time?" and of course I said yes! I remember that I kept saying, "Is this real life?" like a million times.

We got married January 6th, 2012 in the and it has been truly amazing. We couldn't be happier!
We feel so blessed to have all the suport from our families and our friends.

It was a crazy few months with all the wedding planning. We are finally settling in our new place. I will post pictures of it soon!

I realized that blogs are a lot more fun when there are pictures on them so hopefully I will be posting some soon.

Yesterday while the 49er game was on we decided to make caramel corn. It turned out really good. The only thing that was bad was that our sauce pan wasnt big enough for the carmel.. and when we added the baking soda to the carmel it kinda overflowed everywhere making a huge mess. To be honest though I am kinda glad it happened because it was really funny (the mess wasnt so funny though) but we had a good laugh. I should have taken pictures of the mess.. dang it.

Well I guess that is all for now! :)
