Updates and First Bday:)

We have been busy lately but it is a good busy :)
Adalyn has officially started crawling this past month which has been a lot of fun! She was a little slow to start crawling but I really enjoyed it. I felt like she was a baby for longer which I didn't mind. She has just now started to pull up on a couple of things to stand but has only done it a few times. Shes growing so fast.

She has such a personality now. She loves to dance, clap. kiss. She loves the ABC song. Whenever someone says yay she will clap and try to say yay with you. If there is an animal that is in sight she will want to touch it. She still is tiny but we decided to just upgrade her to her big girl car seat. When I put her in her big girl car seat it made me officially feel like she was a lot older. She LOVES books and always wants to read them. I am happy about that! She is not shy at all; she is more like her dad in that way. She loves to go to whoever wants to give her attention.

We went to disneyland a couple weeks ago and it was a blast. We went with my family for my sister's last cheer competition. It was fun to have Adalyn there and she had fun walking around and also going on the rides. I cannot wait to take her back.

We celebrated her first birthday yesterday. I cannot believe she is already a year old. We had a family party and we had pizza and cake. It was fun to watch her open up all of her presents and she would get excited with each toy she would open. It was so fun to watch. I was hoping she would make a mess with her cake but she is such a girl and was so dainty while eating it haha it was still really cute though. We may have smeared some on her face for pictures ;)

The New Year

So much has happened this new year.

I officially feel old because I can no longer stay up until midnight to celebrate the New Year. Jeff and I went to bed around 10pm thats the latest I can ever stay up haha.

January 2nd was my moms 50th birthday and I put together a surprise party for her. It was so much fun and we had such a good turn out. She was really surprised. It was so hard for me to keep it a secret because usually when I am putting something big together she is there to help me out. I had questions on certain things and I couldn't ask her! haha

January 6th we celebrated our 2 year anniversary together. We ended up going to Flemings for dinner that night and had Katie watch Addie for us. Jeff's 25th birthday was on Jan 12.. we decided to celebrate that by taking a weekend trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was a blast. Honestly towards the end we were exhausted and felt really old. I remember I used to be able to go on ride after ride without feeling really dizzy after but this time we were tired by like 5pm and decided to leave and go to dinner before we headed back home to our little girly. It was fun to spend time together on our own because those times can be pretty rare.

Our little Adalyn has such a personality now. She is soo funny and she clenches up when she gets excited. She does it soo much and its hilarious. She will definitely tell you when she wants something. She doesn't crawl but rolls everywhere to get places. I am really impressed because she was below the 5th percentile for both height and weight and she is now in the 27 percentile and 38 percentile. :) At ten months she weights 18lbs and she is 27 1/2" I love being able to be home with her everyday and watch her grow. Addie's hair is getting a little longer so its fun to play around with too.

January was busy for us. We moved out of our apartment that we have lived in since we have been married. It was bittersweet. We had to find homes for 2 of our cats. Thankfully we were able to do so. We are at the moment living with my parent's for one year to save up money so that we will have a good down payment to put down on a house. We have been looking at houses and it is fun and scary at the same time! I keep wanting to rush into it but I know it is better to be saving this money right now. We couldn't be more grateful. Adalyn is SOOO spoiled by my parents and she also made a new best friend. Her and Bentley are best buds. (my parents dog) Looks like we will be getting a dog in the near future;) She loves it here and she gets so much attention from everyone. We are still working on getting our deposit back from our apartment.. haha wish us luck..

Valentines day was fun. We were going to go out to dinner but I thought it would be so much more fun to get food and eat at home and watch a movie. Much more relaxing than trying to fight a huge crowd of people. I had my nephew for a few hours so I took Braxton and Addie to the park and then Jeff picked up Diccos and a movie and we just had fun hanging out and relaxing that night.

My birthday was on the 16th. Jeff surprised me with a weekend trip to San Francisco so that I could go shopping. We took Adalyn with us because I thought it would be fun to take her with us. She had a blast and didn't nap the whole day. We got to visit with Danny and Amanda and meet baby Rylen. It was so good to see them. We haven't seen them in so long so it was fun to just spend some time with them.
